...a freelancer. Since the early 90th I am working as sales engineer for electrical components in companies with industrial and automotive customers.

What I am doing...

My concept is to seek new potential customers or to treat existing business in Germany for your company. You do not need to open an own office - I shall be your "remote sales engineer".

What does it cost...

I invoice my working time and travel expenses monthly. My hourly rate (in €) includes taxes, insurances, car, home office and communcation - it's like an "all-inclusive-package".

Exhibiting at a German trade show gives a clear signal to the market: We are here! It allows it get in touch with potential customers.

German customers want to be visited, they like "to see a face" behind the companies. This is essential to be considered as new supplier.

I am electrical engineer and hence focus on products and services (like EMS) which have at least a plug.

1. step

Cold acquisition by phone call. If the potential customer is interested in a new supplier I send an e-mail with your info brochure.

2. step

Second phone call after two weeks. Intention is to get more details about requirements and expectations. Who is their supplier now?

3. step

Visit at potential customer to meet purchasing or technical department. Showing presentation and - in best case - receiving an inquiry.
